First of all, you must know that not all white images can become beautiful wallpaper murals. White is the “absence” of color when printing on wallpaper so it’s better to choose a textured white rather than a monochrome white. And the more the image is filled and textured, the better the result.

Custom wall murals are becoming more and more popular. We receive questions about this every day. Is it possible to print a custom wallpaper mural from your own photos? Any photo? Here is a little more information about this…
***Thank you to Linda Morin for the nice photo of her wall mural Print a wall mural made from your own photos… Yes, it is possible but there are several elements to consider. First, you have to look at the quality (resolution) of your photo. If you have a photo taken from a good quality camera, you probably have enough quality. On the other hand, if you have a picture taken from a phone, the quality will probably not be enough. How to know the quality of your photo? Transfer your photo to your computer, right click and see “Properties”. 25 MB is ideal for printing a beautiful wallpaper mural, but your photo probably does not have this quality.
The second element to consider is the size of the mural: do you want a big, medium or small wall mural? If you want a big mural, such as a mural of 15 ‘(4,57m) x 8’ (2,44m), a phone picture will not be enough. If you want a small mural, such as a mural of 6 ‘(1.83m) x 6’ (1.83m), a phone picture might be enough.
The last thing to consider is … the image itself. Uniformly colored, unicoloured images (for example, a cloudless blue sky) are more difficult and will require better quality (resolution). Colorful, nuanced and textured images (for example: a forest or sky full of clouds) are much richer and require lower quality (resolution).
In summary, there are 3 important aspects to consider before printing a custom wall mural: 1- The quality of the photo 2- The size of the mural you want to print 3- The image itself (uniform color or textured image?)

The answer to this question is quite simple: Yes. Obviously, everything depends on the mural (material) and where you want to install this wall mural in your bathroom… If you want to install a wall mural in a shower, there are companies that make waterproof murals made for outdoor use. Wallpaper murals, on the other hand, are not an option for the shower.
For any other wall in your bathroom, wallpaper murals are an excellent choice. They are very resistant to moisture, even after many years. A wallpaper mural above a bath? No problem, most wall murals are washable with mild soap. At Muralunique, for example, we have wallpaper murals that have been installed in bathrooms for about 12 years and they are still beautiful and have never taken off.
It is also possible to install a vinyl wall mural in a bathroom. On the other hand, do not forget that the self-adhesive vinyl is not the ideal product. After 1 year, the glue becomes permanent and when you will remove your mural, the wall will be damaged. Better to choose a prepasted wallpaper mural that can be installed and removed easily.
In summary, murals are perfect for bathrooms but it is better to take the time to choose a good quality wallpaper mural, this will avoid many inconvenience.

A basement is often a refuge with many functions, from office to guest room, by way of game room or home theater. This area can easily become a warehouse for our old furniture, seasonal accessories, in short, the stuff we use least often. Once we have decided to give it a particular vocation, it will then become a coveted room in your home. In this case, the clients wanted to have a comfortable, inviting and warm room to watch movies. The starting point of this project was the mural, it gives a lot of charm and depth to the room. Around this featured component, we added elements that bring to mind the countryside, all in a “chic chalet” ambiance! The result is warm and bright for a room with only a small window! Congratulations to the owners who did all of the work themselves 🙂
